Madhya Pradesh Minister Narottam Mishra’s “Made Hema Malini Dance” Comment Sparks Row



Madhya Pradesh will vote on November 7 and the counting of votes will happen on December 3

State residence minister Narottam Mishra sparked an issue after a purported video of his speech through which he talked about about ‘making Hema Malini dance’ in his constituency surfaced on social media.

Reacting to Mr Mishra’s comment, Congress chief Digvijaya Singh on Thursday wrote on X (previously Twitter) sharing the video, “Take heed to the actual meanness of the minister (Narottam Mishra) of the aesthetic BJP about ladies. He would not even spare his personal celebration chief.”

However, earlier on Wednesday, Congress media advisor Piyush Babele additionally wrote on X for a similar that insulting ladies was the identification of the BJP.

“That is Madhya Pradesh House Minister Narottam Mishra. He’s speaking about making the BJP MP dance (Hema Malini). Insulting ladies is the identification of BJP,” Babele wrote.

Mr Mishra is a powerful BJP chief and has been contesting from Datia Meeting seat since 2008. 

This time, it will likely be his fourth time to be within the fray for the state meeting polls scheduled to be held subsequent month.

Madhya Pradesh will vote on November 7 and the counting of votes will happen on December 3. By way of the polls, the state will elect legislators from 230 Meeting constituencies.
